Trump has always been a formidable force all by himself. With a
Southern Baptist preacher as his spiritual adviser, will he be
unstoppable?

"Evangelical pastor who said Jews going to hell gives first prayer at
Jerusalem embassy

An evangelical pastor derided for saying Muslims, Mormons, Jews and
other faiths are going to hell gave the first prayer at the opening of
the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

Robert Jeffress, the Southern Baptist preacher considered to be
President Trump's spiritual adviser, traveled to Israel for the
official diplomatic change on Monday, and told Fox News to participate
in the ceremony.

Jeffress has been a supporter of the right-wing Israeli government of
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump's choice to move
the embassy.

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney slammed the
decision to include the preacher in a ceremony already fraught with
tension over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"Robert Jeffress says 'you can't be saved by being a Jew,' and
'Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell.' He's said the same about
Islam," Republican Mitt Romney, who is Mormon and currently running
for the U.S. Senate in Utah, said Sunday.

"Such a religious bigot should not be giving the prayer that opens the
United States Embassy in Jerusalem."

Before the ceremony began, Pastor Robert Jeffress told the Associated
Press that his comments had been taken out of context and scolded the
former presidential candidate for jumping into the fray.

"I think it's sad that Mitt feels the need to lash out in anger on
such a historic day but it's not going to overshadow what is happening
here."

Jeffress made his remarks about the other religious faiths at the
Values Voter Summit in 2011 in support of the belief that the church
should not try to grow by catering to tolerance, and defended them in
a statement Monday. . . ."

To believe that you know who is evil and who is not
is merely human nature. However, to know who is evil,
beyond a shadow of a doubt, and who should, therefore,
be killed is one of God's great blessings that is
bestowed only on the righteous.

A technicality..... "Jews can not be saved" Most Jews can not even relate
to the very concept of "being saved" I don't think they lay awake
at night worrying about being saved. Plus many Jews have no
concept of an "after life"

All going to hell ? He only said what all Christians believe
(whether they say it or not). That is -- everybody except Christians
are going to hell. What's the big deal ?
