Trump's tax returns?
Trump getting COVID-19?
Curious people want to know.
I posted an article on the 29th about his tax returns.

Democrats “don’t care” that “somebody clearly must have broken the law”
to obtain President Trump’s tax returns, GOP House Minority Whip Steve
Scalise told “The Brian Kilmeade Show” on Tuesday.

Scalise, R-La., made the comment following a New York Times report that
President Trump paid no federal income taxes in 10 of the previous 15
years.

On Monday, Trump defended his tax history, saying that he paid
“millions of dollars” to the Internal Revenue Service and argued he is
"entitled" to tax credits "like everyone else" in the wake of the New
York Times report.

Scalise told Fox News Radio host Brian Kilmeade on Tuesday that the
Democratic party “has been the party of hoaxes, Russia collusion,
impeachment, tax returns since 2016… because they have no agenda.”

What did the people gain from going to court and getting the tax
information? Nothing. The purpose behind getting that information was
to leak it to the news media.

Or perhaps Trump has been lying about how rich he is and how vulnerable
he is for the debts that he has accumulated with questionable foreign
sources.

Since you brought up questionable foreign sources, how about this one?

""Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena
Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow," the Republican
report, which was the result of an investigation led by GOP Senator
Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, explained as one of its "key findings."
Baturina, a billionaire, was previously married to Yuri Luzhkov, who
served as mayor of Moscow but was fired for alleged corruption in
2010. The report details how Biden's business received a $3.5 million
payment from Baturina in February 2014, which was described to be for
"consultancy" work. In 2015, Biden also received several payments of
several hundred thousand dollars from Baturina, several of which were
listed as part of a "loan agreement.""
https://www.newsweek.com/hunter-biden-received-35-million-payment-ex-moscow-mayors-wife-republican-report-says-1533834

Hunter Biden had a very active business life back when his father was
VP. Why is it that none of this seems to bother you?

Typical attempt to redirect the discussion. We are talking about the
Trump tax returns and what might be concluded from them. This is a
logical error that you tend to repeat whenever you cannot or do not want
to respond to the issue under discussion. Specifically it is called a
"Tu Quoque" fallacy and is a form of a red herring fallacy. I've
pointed this out to you many times in the past, yet you don't seem to
get it.

Are you in denial about Trump's debts? Doesn't that bother you?

It doesn't bother you that Trump lied about his wealth and is now
heavily in debts that will come due in the next few years? Doesn't that
make him a security risk?
Oh, and he said that he would pay his own campaign expenses. He hasn't.

The NYT has put together a very good history of Trump's finances if you
care to look. It is a very professional piece of work.
See "Charting an Empire: a Timeline of Trump's Finances."

Trump's tax returns?
Trump getting COVID-19?
Curious people want to know.
OK, there was nothing illegal in his returns, and 2000 - 2017 he paid
$24 million in Alternative Minimum Tax, as well as taxes owed to
foreign governments. Do you take the deductions to which you are
entitled? Did you expect him to do otherwise?

As for COVID-19, looks like he is doing just fine. At last report, not
on oxygen and no temperature.

he just exercising his right to personal freedom?

He did nothing illegal, but he had every right and reason to believe
that the returns would be dissected by Democrat partisans, and
something, rightly or wrongly, used against him. For example -- the
claim of no income tax paid, but no mention of $24 million AMT.

Everything is preventable, but he is the President of the United
States. He is constantly meeting with, and speaking to, large groups
of people. He has first class medical care and should be OK.

It was preventable because not everyone he meets with is tested and he
regularly meets with people in close proximity without wearing masks -
all because he doesn't take it seriously.

The AMT is an attempt to prevent wealthy people from paying zero tax,
but there is a loophole. A business credit can be deducted and Trump
applied $22.7M, much if it carried forward from previous years. He
doesn't get a refund, but the payment can only be applied to taxes paid
and he paid no taxes. It is complicated, but the bottom line is that he
paid no federal income tax.

eight years to change the tax laws.

His tax returns were pretty much what everybody expected.

The fact he was able to contract COVID is yet more evidence he didn't
take it seriously, and that lack of seriousness has led to more more
deaths and suffering than what would have happened under any other
president.

Do you really know that to be true? In all fairness, Biden did
strenuously object, and resort to name calling, when Trump halted
incoming flights from China. Also, Democrats were in bed with a WHO
that was (and is?) dominated by China. In that light, I fail to be
convinced that you "know" what would have happened under "any other
president".

Any other president (all of the past ones, any candidate from 2016 of
either party, plus Pence) would have had a nationally-coordinated
strategy including 1) making sure states didn't compete for equipment,
2) developing broad testing and tracing, 3) educating the American
people on the seriousness and 4) getting the experts in science, public
health and business to work through the tradeoffs in closing things down.

Instead trump downplayed the virus much of the time and egged governors
to reopen quickly, all because he is driven only by his personal,
political interests.

to reopen quickly, all because he is driven only by his personal,
political interests.
I believe he did what he believed was right. The same rules could not
be applied to North Dakota as the beaches of Florida or New York City.
We got the ventilators and the feds have poured billions into vaccine
and research -- research which may pay off as early as January, or
even sooner -- something that a member of this group once said was
impossible. The states were made well aware of the issues and within
limits made their own decisions. Democrats are shamefully trying to
turn COVID-19 into a campaign issue -- THE campaign issue. Genuine
left wing agenda items like the Green New Deal, socialized medicine,
packing the Court, China, illegal immigration, defunding the police,
reparations, violence in the cities, wealth taxes, etc., are carefully
avoided.

Trump's tax returns?
Trump getting COVID-19?
Curious people want to know.

Only MAGA hat wearers are that deluded (unless, by "right" you mean
right for his personal, political interests).

I oppose it in and of itself, but approve of it as a deterrent for the
seat that was stolen from Obama (Garland should have replaced Scalia,
Gorsuch should have replaced Kennedy, and either Kavanaugh or Barrett
should have replaced Ginsburg).

economy and Republicans are back in power, what then? a 23 member

Oh, and I forgot to ask you about a Democrat wealth tax. Have you

Because of what happened to Garland, the person who wins in November

I believe he did what he believed was right.
Only MAGA hat wearers are that deluded (unless, by "right" you mean
right for his personal, political interests).
As I've already said to you, Democrats won't discuss their real
issues, so they are shamefully trying to turn COVID-19 into the sole
campaign issue -- THE campaign issue. Genuine left wing agenda items
like the Green New Deal, socialized medicine, packing the Court,
China, illegal immigration, defunding the police, reparations,
violence in the cities, wealth taxes, etc., are carefully avoided. How
do you feel about court packing?
Your appeal to other issues is a red herring. It's also a straw man
because Democrats aren't arguing COVID-19 is the only issue.
Yes they are.
Biden discussed many issues other than COVID-19, including the
nomination of Barrett.
Post by El Castor
When Biden was asked about court packing in the last
debate, he avoided answering the question. Democrats are making COVID
the only issue because they don't want to answer the hard questions --
answers that would alarm voters and greatly help Trump. Now, where do
you stand on court packing?
I oppose it in and of itself, but approve of it as a deterrent for the
seat that was stolen from Obama (Garland should have replaced Scalia,
Gorsuch should have replaced Kennedy, and either Kavanaugh or Barrett
should have replaced Ginsburg).
In other words, it's OK.
More straw men.
How am I supposed to respond to your shoulda, coulda, woulda? Do you
really want to rehash Garland, Scalia, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh? Maybe
I'll pass on that. How about Bork, a victim of attacks so scurrilous
that his name became a verb. And not to forget Clarence Thomas, a man
whose disgusting persecution gave us the term High Tech Lynching. Is
Amy Barrett being setup for the same left wing lynching? This country
is headed down a very unpleasant Marxist path, one that will tear us
apart.
Because of what happened to Garland, the person who wins in November
should nominate the replacement.
Yawn. You lose -- live with it.

Trump's tax returns?
Trump getting COVID-19?
Curious people want to know.
I believe he did what he believed was right.

Surely you are aware that the Garland excuse is bogus. Biden has come
down on both sides of that last months argument, solely based on which
party was advantaged. And yes, so have Republicans. It's all about
politics.

a future US breakup, perhaps even a civil war. Democrat destruction of

just be the end of the American experiment in democracy.

Court-packing ought to be a deterrent, not the desired result. But, if
you don't use the deterrent when you promised to, you never have a
deterrent. If the Democrats pack the court, because the republicans have
ignored the threat, hopefully it will jar the Republicans into
negotiating an equitable settlement that does not include court packing.

We've been over this before. In the case of Westboro Baptist Church,
which protested at military funerals with signs such as "God Hates
Fags," the vote was 8-1 in favor of the church's right to freedom of
speech. The lone dissenter was conservative justice Alito.

Trump will be reelected no matter what the polls say, and after all

Look at the
hate speech laws of Canada and Western Europe. Your Party is no
different. What is different is the US Constitution -- which Democrats
would gladly see interpreted into Hell.

Trump's tax returns?
Trump getting COVID-19?
Curious people want to know.
His tax returns were pretty much what everybody expected.
The fact he was able to contract COVID is yet more evidence he didn't
take it seriously, and that lack of seriousness has led to more more
deaths and suffering than what would have happened under any other
president.
Personally, I'm surprised that he paid so little. I expected tax
avoidance, but this is beyond my imagination. The figure of $750 in two
years is probably an accounting default for something that is still pending.

It appears that there were a number of people in the Rose Garden who
have since been tested positive. One of the things that came out of
this is the tendency of the Abbott rapid tests that the White House has
been using - 30% false negatives. But I agree that the Trump
administration seemed to be in denial. Karma?

Taxes aren’t the price we pay for civilized society. They’re a sign of the fact that society is becoming uncivilized. A civilized society is based on voluntarism. Taxes are all about coercion.

like a fucking Queer.

Why do rightist Americans support hair spray wearing Queers?
