A little socialism -- or at least what passes for socialism in the US --
will be a good remedy after 2 years of virtual fascism under Trump and
the Republican congress and 4 years of virtual fascism under Trump and
the Republican senate.
Remember, "Every revolution produces a counter-revolution."
Obama, moderate and reasonable as he was however he happened to be
black, brought us the megalomania of Donald Trump going off the deep end
for 4 years and now it's time for the left's answer to him.
The 2020 election is the Democrats' to lose. Trump is going back to his
private playboy life in Manhattan and he won't even be able to work
dirty real estate deals with Russian money now that the heat's on.

Trump says he's the only capitalist left in America and that even his most
ardent acolytes are Communist to the core. Most of Trump's followers
collect government benefits because they're feeble, old and have no job or
they're career government workers like Rand Paul or Lindsay Graham who depend
on a check from the government to pay the mortgage and put food on the table.

What about part time? And you could leave whenever you want so you don’t need to drive home in the dark.
What about just being on call?
What about being a contractor?
What about just coming in to train any new employees that we hire?
What about a retention bonus?

I said no, I said I have commitments in December, I said I want my vacation pay for the past 18 months without a day off, I said I want to leave, I said I’m not comfortable staying as a part timer, I said I don’t want to be on call, I said they should get transfers from other facilities to cover the gap until they hire someone, and she WOULD NOT STOP ASKING.
Now she wants me to “talk with HR next week” about how much money they can give me to stay.

PS you should be aware that my pal told me today that he got a $15K bonus coming in December just for working there this year. Which means everyone got similar, because he’s relatively junior compared to the others.

What did I get for 2020?
A 100 mile round trip daily commute and on call every weekend while everyone else sat on their couch during a pandemic for the past year.
That was awesome.
