The Republican-controlled legislature in Kentucky voted Wednesday to
override Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear's veto of legislation that would
prohibit transgender athletes from competing in sex-segregated sporting
events from sixth grade through college.

The expected move came after Beshear refused to sign Senate Bill 83
last week and claimed it was most likely unconstitutional. He said the
legislation "discriminates against transgender people" and therefore
would not hold up in court.

The measure is now law in the state after the Republicans overrode the
veto of the legislation, which originally passed through the state
House with a 70 to 23 vote and the state Senate with a 26 to 9 vote.

I would like to see the Supreme Court rule on transgender rights, and
if they have a right to compete in women's sports.

I think their decision would have to be based on if
transgender people really exist, or they are just mentally defective.

I haven't heard of any transgender women wanting to compete in men's
sports. That's because they know they wouldn't have chance.

The Court has already ruled that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
prohibits firing someone because they are transgender

The court is wrong. Transgender is not a sex, there are only two sexes.

How would you like to be an employer, and have to hire a man for your
secretary, that obviously looks like a man in a woman's dress, sitting
behind a desk welcoming your customers?

Maybe the employer can't discriminate, but his customers sure can.

The Court accepted the biomarker definition of sex. But that meant if a
transgender women (biomarker man) had been a biomarker women, she would
not have been fired. Therefore, that's discrimination on the basis of
biomarker sex.
